To reduce spam calls on WhatsApp a person should go to 'Settings' in the WhatsApp application and then click on 'Privacy'. They should then select 'Calls' and turn on the 'Silence Unknown Callers' option. This automatically silences incoming voice and video calls from numbers a person has never interacted with or saved in their contacts.
