How could NHAI's new toll formula lower people's highway toll?
Motorists using national highways with bridges, tunnels, flyovers and elevated stretches will pay less tolls under new formula. Toll will be calculated by adding 10 times length of such structures to length of remaining highway section, or five times total length of highway section, whichever is lower. Structures measuring 60 metres or less won't be treated separately for this purpose.
