How did BJP convince allies Nitish Kumar & Chandrababu Naidu on Waqf Bill?

Senior BJP ministers had reached out TDP and JD(U) leadership to underline their importance in NDA alliance, a report said. The amended Bill included significant suggestions from both Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu's parties. JD(U) reportedly said the law shouldn't be imposed retrospectively and TDP suggested maintaining state's autonomy. BJP told them it means to protect Muslim interests.
