How did BJP win 1 seat before Lok Sabha polls counting began?

Even before counting for Lok Sabha polls began on Tuesday, BJP had won the Surat Lok Sabha seat. Mukesh Dalal, the party's OBC community leader, was declared winner unopposed in April after Congress' Nilesh Kumbhani's nomination was rejected over irregularities in the signature of proposers. Other candidates subsequently withdrew their nominations.
