How did forces rescue 300 people after Gulmarg ropeway incident?

Rescue team of Cable Car Project, assisted by local people, were first responders after over 300 tourists were stranded after cable car system suffered technical glitch in Gulmarg. Teams from NDRF, SDRF and Indian Army used ropes and ladders to bring tourists down after seven hours. As many as 45 persons, who were not fit enough, were carried on stretchers.
