How do combine harvesters separate corn ears automatically?

The combine harvesters allow only corn ears inside the machine and discards remaining plant. The header cones guide the harvested crop into rotating square bars. The gap between the square bars reduces as they rotate. As the stalk is pulled downward through deck plates, the corn ear cannot pass through the gap and gets detached from the stalk.
