The Postal Index Number (PIN) or PIN Code is a 6-digit code used by postal services in India. The first digit represents a geographical region in the country and the first two digits together indicate the sub region. The first three digits further indicate a revenue district and the last three digits collectively refer to the delivery Post Office number.
