NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, who are stuck in space, said they will be participating in 2024 US presidential elections. The practise reportedly began in 1997 when Texas legislature passed a bill which allowed NASA employees to cast their votes from space. The astronauts are sent encrypted electronic ballot through which they send their votes back to Earth.
