How does Amazon's first full-sized cashier-less grocery store work?

Amazon opened its first full-sized cashier-less grocery store 'Amazon Go Grocery' in Seattle on Tuesday. People shopping at the store need an Amazon account and Amazon Go app on their smartphones. While entering the store, shoppers scan the app on a gated turnstile. They pick up the items and walk out, and the amount automatically gets deducted from their account.
