How does FabiSpray, India's first COVID-19 nasal spray for treating adults, work?

Glenmark Pharma has launched India's first nasal spray for treating adult COVID-19 patients called FabiSpray. The nitric oxide nasal spray, which is sprayed over nasal mucosa, acts as a physical and chemical barrier against SARS-CoV-2, preventing it from incubating and spreading to the lungs. During its Phase 3 trials, the spray reduced viral load of 99% in 48 hours.
