India ranked 116th out of 147 countries in the World Happiness Report 2026, ahead of neighbouring nations like Bangladesh at 127, Myanmar at 129, Sri Lanka at 134, and Afghanistan at the 147th position. China is at 65th position, Nepal is at 99th, while Pakistan is ranked 104 in the list. India's ranking improved two places from 118 in 2025.
