How does Inis Oírr, Irish island with no court, manage itself?
Inis Oírr, smallest of Ireland's three Aran Islands, has no courts, police or ambulances and has population of 345 Irish-speaking people with each family holding one vote on decisions affecting the island. Inis Oírr's co-operative is managed by 24-year-old Chloe O'Malley. She mediates land and property disputes and also facilitates monthly visits to the island by bank and police officials.
