How has Earth got a 'mini moon' for 58 days?

Asteroid '2024 PT5' is orbiting the Earth as a 'mini moon' after being trapped by its gravity as it came close to the planet. Smaller asteroids moving at relatively low speeds (roughly 3,540km/h) can temporarily get trapped by Earth's gravitational field. The asteroid, however, won't complete a revolution and will escape the orbit after 58 days, following a horseshoe path.
