How have Asian currencies performed against dollar this year?

The Indian rupee has emerged as the worst-performing Asian currency this year, declining 4.35% against the US dollar so far in 2025, Moneycontrol reported, citing Bloomberg data. Indonesian rupiah dipped 3.98%, while the Philippine peso fell 1.44%. The Malaysian ringgit became the best-performing Asian currency, strengthening by over 9% against the dollar.
