How India’s constitution is structured into parts and schedules

The Constitution of India contains 25 Parts, 448 Articles and 12 Schedules to organise its provisions. Each Part addresses a specific subject, such as Fundamental Rights under Part III and Directive Principles under Part IV, with detailed rules set out in Articles. Schedules compile common lists, including states in Schedule I and official languages in Schedule VIII.
