How is Cartosat-3 India's most powerful civilian satellite?

ISRO on Wednesday successfully injected the nation's most powerful civilian satellite 'Cartosat-3' in a 509 km orbit using the PSLV-C47 rocket. Cartosat-3 is a third-generation agile advanced earth-imaging satellite capable of taking images up to about 1 foot (9.84 inches) above the ground. The satellite has a mission life of about five years and weighs around 1,625 kilograms.
