How is India's Test squad for England tour different from the BGT squad?

The BCCI on Saturday announced India's squad for five-match Test series against England. The squad features 13 players who were a part of India's squad for Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin do not feature in the squad as they have retired. Sarfaraz Khan, Devdutt Padikkal, Tanush Kotian and Harshit Rana have been excluded.
