How is the Sikh diaspora in Italy keeping World War heroes alive?
The Italy-based World Sikh Shaheed Military Memorial Committee has been identifying and commemorating Sikh soldiers who fought and died on Italian fronts during the World Wars since 2016. With help from the Italian government, it has identified and memorialised over 2,000 soldiers. The group recently installed a Khanda memorial wall at Forlì near Bologna, bearing their names and photographs.
