How ITC and ITC Hotels shares will trade post demerger in Jan?

ITC will demerge its hotel business into a new entity, ITC Hotels, effective January 1. The record date of January 6 has been set to determine the ITC shareholders eligible to get ITC Hotels shares. ITC will continue to trade in the market after adjusting for the demerger, while ITC Hotels will be retained on the indices for three days.
