How many states/UTs in India are now being ruled by the BJP?

The BJP defeated AAP to win Delhi Assembly elections. With this, the BJP and its allies now control governments in 21 states/UTs. The other 20 states/UTs are Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Haryana, Gujarat, Goa, Assam, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Puducherry.
