How much did Artemis II's toilet, that broke shortly after launch, cost & why was it built?

Artemis II's space toilet, which broke shortly after the Moon-bound spacecraft's launch and was later fixed, cost around $23 million to $30 million (over ₹210 crore), as per multiple reports. The toilet was reportedly built by NASA following feedback from astronauts, particularly women, about comfort, hygeine and efficiency. Notably, NASA's Apollo astronauts didn't get a toilet.
