How much time does it take to get tax refunds after filing ITR?

It takes four to five weeks for the refund to be credited to the taxpayer's account. Refund processing starts only after the return is e-verified by taxpayer. If a person's PAN is inoperative, their refund will fail. Refund can also fail if bank account is not pre-validated and if the name mentioned in bank account does not match with PAN.
