How should beginners go about investing their first savings?
Feroze Azeez, Joint CEO, Anand Rathi Wealth, says beginners should first build an emergency fund, kept in a liquid fund or easily accessible FD, that could cover 3-6 months of essential expenses. He also recommends starting SIPs in equity mutual funds while building the fund. Once the emergency fund is complete, that money can also be channelled into long-term investments.
