How should salaried employee disclose income from side business?

A salaried employee should file ITR-3 or ITR-4 to disclose income from side business if it is done regularly, explained Gaurav Makhijani, Managing Partner at MGA. It should be disclosed under 'Profits and Gains of Business or Profession' and the business is taxed on its net profit. The deadline of ITR-3 and ITR-4 in FY 2025-26 is August 31, 2026.
