How to check if milk at your home is adulterated with harmful chemical?

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has shared steps for people to check presence of harmful chemical Maltodextrin in milk. Take a sample of 5 ml milk, add 2 ml iodine reagent to it and mix it well. The unadulterated milk will be slightly yellowish brown in colour, while the adulterated milk will be chocolate-red brown in colour.
