"How to convert black money into white money" was a trending Google search term in India following PM Narendra Modi's announcement of demonetising ₹500 and ₹1,000 notes. Interest in the term peaked at 1:30 AM on Wednesday morning, after the announcement was made late Tuesday night. Most of the searches came from the states of Gujarat, Haryana and Maharashtra.
