How viral parrot TikTok videos are driving species towards extinction?

A viral TikTok trend showcasing intelligent parrots mimicking voices, identifying colours and performing tricks is pushing the species towards extinction. Conservation groups warned that the fascination is fuelling illegal demand for rare parrots, especially African grey parrots. Reportedly, African grey parrot populations have declined by 99 per cent in parts of Africa.
