The accused Mohammed Shariful Islam Shehzad told police that after attacking Saif Ali Khan, he took a train from Bandra to Dadar and walked to his home in Worli Koliwada before fleeing to Thane. Police tracked him through CCTV cameras. By the time police reached his suspected location, he switched off his phone. He was eventually found sleeping in bushes.
