How will cars without FASTag be charged after cash ban at toll booths?

The NHAI has discontinued cash transactions at toll plazas across India, with commuters now required to pay via FASTag or UPI. Vehicles without a functioning FASTag can pay via UPI, but at 1.25 times the regular toll amount. If a vehicle passes without paying, an e-notice will be issued, and the amount will double if not settled within 72 hours.
