US has reduced the tariffs on India to 18% from 50% after finalising a trade deal. The government said that the deal will give preferential access to Indian goods in US, generate massive job opportunities and give thrust to production in labour-intensive sectors. The Centre also confirmed that India has protected interests of agriculture and dairy sectors in the deal.
