US has suspended new or pending Permanent Labour Certification (PERM) applications from eight tech giants. This could delay employer-sponsored Green Cards for Indian professionals, who account for over 70% of H-1B approvals and face lengthy Green Card backlogs. Workers nearing H-1B's six-year limit may also face complications. However, existing visas and Green Cards aren't automatically cancelled.
