How will REITs Index help investors track listed real estate firms?

The newly launched BSE REITs Index helps investors invest in real estate firms by serving as a dedicated benchmark that tracks listed REIT segment instead of looking at individual performance separately. The index has six constituents and uses a capped free-float market capitalisation methodology. Its performance doesn't represent return an investor would earn by investing in any one REIT.
