The India-Oman trade pact, which took effect on Monday, will help open oil routes for India beyond Strait of Hormuz. Oman's coastline is located almost entirely outside the Strait of Hormuz, directly on the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman, allowing it to export oil despite the Hormuz blockade.
