How will UK PM Keir Starmer's successor be chosen?

A new leader seeking to replace UK PM Keir Starmer, who announced his resignation, must first win the backing of at least 20% of Labour MPs, or 81 lawmakers. Candidates also need enough support from Labour's grassroots and affiliated organisations. If more than one candidate qualifies, all Labour Party members and affiliated supporters vote to choose the new leader.
