How will UPI charges work for petrol, diesel, CNG, electricity & water bill payments?

Purchases of petrol, diesel and CNG at petrol pumps will attract a flat merchant discount rate (MDR) of ₹5 on UPI transactions worth over ₹2,000. For all fuel payments worth less than ₹2,000, MDR remains at 0%. Meanwhile, for electricity and water bill payments made via UPI, MDR will be ₹5 for transactions worth over ₹2,000.
