Howrah Maidan Records Impressive Footfall Within Days of Launch

New Howrah Maidan to Esplanade Metro route witnesses remarkable footfall of 1,35,000 commuters in two days since launch. Travel time is now reduced from 45 to 10 minutes. Inaugural day sees 70,204 passengers; stations are busy with over 23,000 at the Howrah Maidan. Operating 130 services daily, the project cost Rs 4,965 crore.
