HPCL, BPCL, IOC shares rise up to 4% as US-Iran tensions ease

The shares of oil companies jumped in trade on Friday as oil prices extended their decline amid easing tensions between US and Iran. Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) shares surged nearly 4%, while Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) shares rose over 3%. The shares of Indian Oil (IOC) gained around 2%. Earlier, US signalled that it may hold off on attacking Iran for now.
