HPCL probes refinery fire that postponed inauguration by PM Modi

HPCL is investigating to determine the cause of the fire incident that occurred on April 20 in crude distillation unit section of refinery of HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited in Balotra. The incident postponed the scheduled inauguration of the ₹80,000 crore refinery by PM Narendra Modi. It is believed that leakage of hydrocarbons in the heat exchanger circuit caused the fire.
