HSBC gives permanent WFH status to call centre staff in UK

HSBC Holdings has told more than 1,200 staff at its British call centres that they can permanently work from home (WFH) following the COVID-19 pandemic. Reuters reported that about 70% of 1,800 eligible staff have volunteered not to return to the office. HSBC and other British banks have started to cut office space partly, the report added.
