Taiwanese consumer electronics maker HTC has launched an add-on that transforms its $799 Vive Virtual Reality (VR) headset into a wireless one. The peripheral clip is manufactured by TPCast, a Chinese startup inside HTC's Vive X accelerator program. Priced at $220, the add-on is currently available for preorder on HTC's China website.
