Chinese AI not advanced enough to face US-level risks: Huawei

Huawei's rotating chairman Eric Xu said Chinese AI may lack the capability to experience safety risks reported by leading US firms. Speaking at Huawei's Connect conference in Shanghai, Xu suggested Chinese developers should accelerate model development. Huawei predicts autonomous AI agents will account for over 90% of global AI processing traffic by 2035.
