Huawei offers to license 5G technologies to Western firms

China's Huawei has offered to share its 5G technologies with Western firms to ease the security concerns raised by the US. CEO Ren Zhengfei said Huawei would give companies "perpetual access" to its existing 5G patents, codes and technical blueprints for a one-time fee. This would create more 5G players and a balance between China and the West, Zhengfei added.
