Human error caused chopper crash that killed CDS Bipin Rawat: Parliamentary panel report
The crash of Mi-17 V5 helicopter on December 8, 2021, which led to the death of General Bipin Rawat, India's first CDS, was caused by "human error," a parliamentary panel report said. In January 2022, the IAF stated spatial disorientation of the pilot due to bad weather caused the accident. The IAF's investigation ruled out negligence, mechanical failure, or sabotage.
