Human rights violations against women & girls increasing in Afghanistan: UN

The UN is getting "chilling reports of restrictions on human rights" throughout Afghanistan, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said amid the Taliban's Afghan takeover. Speaking at a UNSC emergency meeting on Afghanistan, Guterres said, "I'm particularly concerned by the account of mounting human rights violations against women and girls of Afghanistan who fear a return of the darkest days."
