Humanoid robot becomes Buddhist monk in South Korea

A humanoid robot became South Korea's first "robot monk" after taking Buddhist vows at Seoul's Jogyesa Temple on Wednesday ahead of Buddha's birthday. Developed by China's Unitree Robotics, the robot received the Buddhist name "Gabi" during an initiation rite. Videos of the ceremony showed the robe-clad robot joining monks in prayer, pressing its palms together.
