Hundreds of dead little blue penguins wash up on New Zealand's beaches

Hundreds of dead Korora penguins or little blue penguins have been washing ashore on New Zealand beaches in recent weeks. Experts believe that the birds, which are the world's smallest penguins, have been starving to death as a result of global warming. The dead birds were reportedly half their normal weight and had no fat or muscle tissue on them.
