Hyd engineer who ran Thop TV arrested for streaming content stolen from OTT platforms

Maharashtra Cyber Cell has arrested Hyderabad-based engineer Satish Venkateshwarlu, who ran a mobile app called Thop TV, for allegedly streaming pirated content from various OTT platforms and satellite channels. The action was taken against the 28-year-old after a complaint by Viacom18 Media Private Limited and another broadcaster. "He primarily provided free content on Telegram," police said.
