Hyd initiative trains ambulance staff in eye trauma first aid

LV Prasad Eye Institute, EMRI Green Health Services and Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital have launched a Hyderabad initiative to improve emergency care for eye injuries. Staff in 108 ambulances are being trained in first aid, and ambulances are being equipped with eye trauma kits. Organisers said patients take an average of four days to reach hospital after an eye injury.
