Hyderabad water board orders ACs off after 5 pm to save power

Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board MD K Ashok Reddy has directed all offices to cut water and electricity use by 20%, set ACs at 25°C, and switch them off after 5 pm. AC discharge water must be reused for gardening. Offices meeting targets will get appreciation certificates monthly. The move comes amid El Niño-linked water resource concerns.
