Hydrogen fuel cell backup to replace diesel at telecom towers

The government on Monday announced a new hydrogen fuel cell-based backup power solution for telecom towers, offering a cleaner and more efficient alternative to diesel generators. The plug-and-play system is expected to enhance sustainability in the telecom sector while supporting India's renewable energy goals, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) stated.
